Thank you to everyone who came by our Paint for Ukraine fundraising stand on St Patrick's day. Together, we raised €250.
It was moving to see so many young people and children design a symbol of solidarity for Ukraine. And all the greater for our Ukrainian community members, new and old, to be a part of it. Their dignity during this gruelling time is inspiring.
The funds raised have been transferred to Eine Welt e.V. Leipzig as Teach Solais's friend, Ukrainian citizen Maria is on its board.
Over the past month, their impassioned efforts have delivered assistance to Ukraine and Ukrainian citizens in donations of humanitarian aid, accommodation, logistic aid, asylum and legal aid, children and families, animals, and translations.
We hope the money sent from Ballyjamesduff will help with their crucial work.
