The DIGITAL STORY project has officially begun! Partners from Lithuania, Latvia, Italy,
and Ireland gathered in Italy for an inspiring two-day kick-off meeting hosted by our incredible partners at TATICS. This gathering laid the foundation for a successful collaboration, aligning our vision, goals, and strategies to empower young people through digital storytelling.
Day 1: Building the Foundations
The first day of the meeting focused on setting clear objectives, ensuring smooth communication, and mapping out key milestones for the project. Together, we:
Introduced the DIGITAL STORY project’s vision and objectives
Outlined a strong dissemination strategy to share our impact
Established roles, responsibilities, and collaboration frameworks
Discussed Erasmus+ programme guidelines and how they shape our work
With partners from across Europe, the discussions highlighted the potential of digital storytelling to preserve cultural heritage, strengthen community engagement, and enhance youth employability.
Day 2: Storytelling in Action – Exploring Heritage in Umbria
The second day took us beyond the meeting room and into the heart of storytelling itself. We joined the 'Local is Better' project for a field trip across Umbria, experiencing firsthand how stories bring culture to life:
Capoccia Bio – A beautiful organic farm showcasing sustainability, traditional pasta making, and the power of local food stories.
Cásale Regnano – A historic rural estate that blends tradition with innovation, demonstrating farm-to-fork principles and heritage preservation.
Alberto Burri Museum – A deep dive into the world of an iconic artist, illustrating how personal narratives shape cultural memory.
Through these experiences, we saw the profound connection between storytelling, history, and identity, reinforcing the mission of DIGITAL STORY: to give young people the tools to share their own cultural heritage in meaningful, creative ways.
