The Emotional First Aid training program started last week in Ballyjamesduff.
We are so grateful for the interest shown in this program and honoured with the opportunity to connect with the community in this way.
Forty people across two cohorts will attend 10 hours of training each and learn to support people experiencing emotional distress.
This pilot program will support participants to recognise the signs of emotional distress and equip them with the necessary skills to assess situations, listen to a person's concerns, and help them to access services, tackle practical problems and connect with loved ones or social support.
The course is now at total capacity.
If you would like to participate in future opportunities, please register your interest by emailing teachsolais.bjd@gmail.com
